What We Believe

God

There is only one God. He has revealed Himself through Scripture as the Father (creator), Son (redeemer), and Holy Spirit (sustainer). Deut. 6:4; Ps. 90:2; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14.

The Father

The Father is the creator of heaven, earth, and the human family. Through His unyielding love, He offered His son for our redemption and rescued humanity from sin. Gen. 1:1; Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 3:22; John 3:16.

Jesus

The Son of God was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He is the Savior who redeemed humanity through his death and burial, and conquered sin and death through His resurrection. Jesus sits at the right hand of God and will return again to earth to reign as King. Matt. 1:22-23; Is. 9:6; John 1:1-5; Heb. 4:14-15; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Rom. 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Col. 2:9-10; 1 Tim. 6:14-15.

Holy Spirit

The Spirit – our teacher and helper – reveals Christ and empowers the believer for holy living and to boldly share the Good News. The filling/empowering of the Holy Spirit is a repeatable event that all believers can and should pursue. Acts 1:8; John 14:16-18; John 14:26; John 16:7-13; Gal. 5:25; 1 Cor. 2:12; 1 Cor. 3:16; Eph. 1:13; Eph. 5:18; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Pet. 1:2.

Spiritual Gifts

The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and to confirm the power of the Good News. These gifts should always manifest and function in harmony with the Scriptures to build up Christ’s church. Eph. 4:1-16; Rom. 12:3-8; 1 Cor. 12; 1 Pet. 4:10-11.

Ordinances

There are two ordinances instituted by Jesus Christ. Baptism is a declaration to the world that the believer has died and been raised together with Christ, becoming a new creation. The Lord’s Supper is a symbol expressing the believer's sharing in the divine nature of Christ, a memorial of Christ's suffering and death, and a prophecy of Christ's second coming.

The Bible

The Scriptures are divinely inspired and the inerrant Word of God. They are revelation from God to man and the infallible rule of faith and conduct. The Bible reveals God’s character, His purpose and plan for His people, and gives us doctrine to live that out. Psalm 119:105 & 160; Prov. 30:5; Isaiah 55:11; 2 Tim. 1:13 & 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21.

Healing & Miracles

Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. It was the Father's will to perform miracles, yes, in the past, but also now in the present and in the future. He has not changed. God is still a God of miracles! Heb. 13:8; Rom. 15:4; Luke 9:1

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift and is received by grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be saved by surrendering to Jesus as Savior and Lord. Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9; Titus 2:11; Luke 24:46-47; Titus 3:5-7.

First Fruits Giving

Giving is a form of worship to God. We are called to support the local church, tend to the needy, give God our first of our “harvest” and seek to build the Kingdom of God. Lev. 23:10; 1 Cor. 16:2; Philippians 4:17; 2 Cor 9:6-7
